To Ed and Barb’s family: Barbara was a powerful personality; once you met Barbara, you could never forget her. She spoke with conviction – she knew what she liked, and she wasn’t shy about letting you know what she didn’t like. We got to hear her assessment of the quality and tastefulness of nearly every home renovation in Pembroke Lakes and she knew her stuff! It was an absolute pleasure to get to know this special person, and we know that she will be dreadfully missed. Our hearts go out to you in this difficult time. Warmest regards for peace and tranquility, and may the fondest memories always exceed the grief. Angela and David Schrager of Villa G Realty

There are no words to describe how we are feeling. One comes to mind "numb". You and Ed were such good neighbors. When you first moved in 6 years ago we became good friends instantly. We had great times on the deck, kayaking, swimming at the pool across the street and the going to the country club for a Bloody Mary, walking the dog around the neighborhood, stopping by Cooky’s, going to the casino, playing dominos on your patio and putting together jig saw puzzles. We will miss you dearly. Ed & Sharron

I worked with Barb for many years at John Alden and remember her fondly. She was a straight shooter who would always call it as she saw it – and you always knew where you stood with her. She was also wickedly funny – I don’t know how many times I was in her office just with tears streaming down my face laughing. She was one of those people who made spending time at work a pleasure. You have my deepest condolences for your loss and you will be in my prayers.

I am truly saddened with the news that Barbara is gone from us. She was an Angel here in earth. Always there when you called for help or info. Always friendly. When my husband Pete passed in March Barbara was my salvation, she had all my answers to all my questions that I forgot or had no mind to ask at the moment. I will NEVER forget you. Good Bless you Wonderful, Beautiful Lady. Forever your Friend Digna Balcunas
