Craig was an amazing husband, father, friend, and officer. He will be missed by so many. There are so many people simply heartbroken today, as the Rupp family have a large circle of friends, family, and colleagues. May we always remember Craig and support Erika, Madi, & Liv in any way we can. With much love and sadness.

The best time of my career was the years I had the honor to work next to Craig. I am so thankful for every memory. Craig always had his family in mind. He cherished his family. His family was his whole world. He was so proud of his two girls. Sometimes he would be thinking of his wife and just start singing a song that reminded him of her. I know he is still watching over his family.

I have so much to say and don’t know where to begin. You were a good husband, father and friend. You always made people feel welcomed. Your smile, your hugs, the way you would say someone’s name, you loved life and you loved people, that’s what made you, you! You were always a great friend to George, you were his fishing buddy, mountain bike buddy and someone he could rely on. We love you and will miss you immensely!! God has another beautiful angel in heaven. Until we meet again my friend, much love to you. Erika, Madison and Olivia, we are so sorry for your great loss. It isn’t fair or explainable. The family we have, immediate, friends, police and fire, will always come together and support each other. We support you in your darkest hour as well as your brightest day, you are loved and never alone. Your husband and father was a wonderful man. He loved his family. The excitement in his voice when he talked about you, bringing a picture of you (all three) when he went away and putting it on the side table in the hotel room. You were always on his mind and forever in his heart! We love you! George and Melissa ?

Craig was a kind friend whom never burden others with his problems but seemed to genuinely want to help others with theirs. My deepest condolences to his wife, Ericka, and daughters Madison and Olivia. May God give you peace that he is with the Lord and has wings.

Although I never got the pleasure of meeting his family, Craig and I went to High School and Middle School together. We were pretty good friends then and we had a chance to catch up at our high school reunion. He was always a nice and friendly guy. He, Fedele and I danced the night away at the reunion. My condolences to his wife and children.
