Theresa Maria Porzungolo Haliy was born on June 5, 1919 to Mary and Angelo in Brooklyn, New York. She passed away on February 3, 2018, in Coconut Creek, Florida, after 98 wonderful years of life. She was the third daughter, born after Anne and Mary, and was followed quickly by Jeannie, Sam and Madeline. She met Stan Haliy at a dance and they were wed on November 21, 1948 and had a beautiful, loving marriage for just shy of 60 years. Terri was a loving mother to Patti and Debbie, and to her sons–in law Roger Brazill and Craig Norfolk, a doting grandmother to Caitlyn Hawkins Brazill and Julia Curaming, Emily Argyrio, Corey Norfolk and Chris Norfolk. She was blessed to hold each of her great grandchildren and they will never forget her, and she loved each of the wonderful spouses her grandchildren chose. Terri was the best cook and could sew anything. Everyone who met her was greeted by a warm smile and soft loving attention. The family extends never ending gratitude to Theresa’s loving companion, Marcia Scott, who helped her on her way to eternal life. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018, from 2-4 PM with a Tribute of a Lifetime Service at 3:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.
Please feel free to leave comments, post stories and photos. Donations to a cause meaningful to you is requested in lieu of flowers.

We celebrated mommy’s 95th birthday with one of her great granddaughter’s birthdays, Haliy Hawkins Brazill, who was just turning one. Mommy greeted everyone who came with her beautiful smile and was just delighted to celebrate with our family and friends. She was phenomenal

I am so sorry for your loss. May the words in Phil. 4:6,7 give you peace from God to give you peace from God to guard your mind and heart.
