Earl Anthony Rodgers, born September 8, 1925 to Alice Coyne and Anthony Rodgers at Brockton, Massachusetts.

Earl moved to Easton, MA. in 1938 and graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 1943. In high school he played baseball, football and basketball. Baseball was his favorite sport and pitched and played the outfield. He was co-captain of the football team his senior and was Vice-President of his senior class. Upon graduating he joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1943 to March of 1946. He was promoted twice and left the Navy as a signalman 1st Class, a very high rate for a 19 year old.

After leaving the Navy he graduated from Burdett College in Boston. He worked at various CPA firms in Brockton, MA until he was hired as a manager at Metrano Chevrolet in Easton and Mansfield, MA. He then worked for the International Ladies Garment workers Union until his retirement in 1988.

He and his wife Madeline were snowbirds for many years until they moved permanently to Hollywood, Florida in 2005.

He is survived by his wife Madeline Lorusso Rodgers, his daughter Karen Jusseaume and her husband Raymond of Ellenton, Florida; his step-son Frederick Peck and his partner Ray Collins of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; David Peck and his wife Debbie of Hollywood, Florida; and his step-daughters Carol Peck Boudreau and her husband Don of Southwest Ranches, Florida; and Nancy Peck Brady of Atlanta, Ga.

He also has 4 grandchildren, Jacqui Peck of Holliston, MA, David Peck Jr. of Cambridge, MA and Scott Jesseaume and his wife Sherry of Stow, MA and Brian Jusseaume and his wife Jennifer of Sratham, NH.

He also is survived by 11 great grand-children.

Visitation will take place on Monday, May 14, 2018, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Interment with Military Honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. 

A Memorial Service will be held in Massachusetts at a date to be determined.

One of the finest men with the best sense of humor I have ever met! He served our country loved his step children as his own and worshiped his wife! God be with you Earl. You are definitely within his arms and will have a special place in my heart, Now take that walk to the shore!
