Manuel A. Duran, age 87, a resident of Pembroke Pines, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, the son of Rafael and Rosa Maria Duran. Manuel enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served this country between 1955-1957 when his was honorably discharged. 

He is survived by his loving children, Rebecca (Tony) Cordero, Lauranela (Brian) Duran Gabriel, Marco (Catherine) Duran and Mario (Chrysa) Duran. He is also survived by four grandchildren and his beloved life partner, Margarita Cruzado Santana. 

Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 1, 2018, from 3:00 – 9:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 2, 11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery (north).
