Ural Edward Morris was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Mable and Herman Morris.  He joined them in heaven on Friday, January 4, 2019 with family by his side.  Ural was the proud father to Angela O’Stricker, Tamra Morris, Dawn Morris and Jennifer (Wesley) Gonzalez and grandfather to Brelynn, Marcelo, Mya, Aden and Nicholas.  Ural was a beloved brother to Fred Staten (dec), Myra (Will, dec) Godfrey, Herman (Brenda) Morris Jr., Carolyn (Leo, dec) Hollen, Cynthia Morris (dec) and Wanda (Anthony) Hightower.  He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends and their families, all of whom he cherished.

Ural served in the United States Air Force, reaching the rank of sergeant before his honorable discharge. After his military service he worked as an air traffic controller for over 12 years.  He will be remembered by many for his great sense of humor and his love for life, family, and all things film.  He fell in love with film at an early age, buying his first camera at 11 years old. Through the years Ural has diversified in the film industry, producing, directing, writing, editing and acting in many productions. He also taught his craft of video production at several South Florida schools and universities.

Ural will be greatly missed, fondly remembered and forever loved.

The family will receive friends at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel on Wednesday, January 9th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A tribute to his life will begin at 7:00 p.m. Graveside Service with Military Honors will be on Thursday, January 10th, 11:15 a.m. at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Fl.
