BYRD, Gary Leonard, age 59, a long time resident of Pembroke Pines, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, September 20, 2018, after a courageous battle against colon cancer. Gary was a native of Miami, Florida, the son of the late Thomas and Clara Byrd. Gary graduated high school and worked for YRC Freight company as a driver. His hobby and passion was car racing. He loved to work on his cars with his father Thomas as his helper. He is survived by his two caring nieces, Ashley Byrd and Kelli Byrd along with extended family and dear friends. Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 PM with a Tribute of a Lifetime Service at 7:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. An urn committal service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 10:00 AM at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
