Genevieve Venza Michael, a long-time resident of Weston, passed away Wednesday the 14th of November of 2018 at Northwest Medical Center.
Born in 1941 in Oyster Bay, N.Y., the youngest of two children born to Diego and Angelina Venza. In the 1960’s, Genevieve relocated from New York to south Florida with her first husband and children. Genevieve received a High School Diploma, she moved on to work as a Sales Representative at Lurias Catalog Store for 10 years, she later began a 15 year career as a Platinum Customer Service Representative for American Express Credit Card Company.
She loved Italian food and cooking, particularly her famous chicken soup for her 3 year old grandson, enjoyed dancing, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two husbands, and her dear brother, Frank Venza. She is survived by her loving children, Angela Meyers-Blackman and her husband Danny, Christopher Sagger and his wife Joanie. She is also survived by her grandchildren which were the apple of her eyes, John Meyers and Chelsea Murphy; and the love of her life, great-grandchildren, Julian and Nicholas.
The family will receive friends at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel on Saturday, November 17th, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 AM. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
