Matthew J. Tahaney, age 78, a long time resident of Dania Beach, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Born on June 16, 1940, in Orange, New Jersey, one of four children born to John Tahaney and Helen Quinn. In addition, to his parents, Matthew is predeceased by his brother, William Quinn. Survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Tahaney; sister, Marie Quinn; brother, Walter Quinn; step-son, Kenneth E. Beringhaus. A memorial service will take place on Friday, November 9th, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.

Matt was a very kindhearted sole. He laughed and smiled with everything he did. As far as a step father, he was a very nice man who would always be willing to sacrifice for any of us. Conversation was never silent. Never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Was able to keep conversations interesting. He will be deeply missed by me and anyone who knew him, his memories will never be forgotten! love always, RIP Matt

Matt you where a good friend,loyal and trustworthy,We have been friends since 1957, I’m sure going to miss you even though I didn’t get to see that often.I respect you for the way you took care of your family. Rest in Peace buddy I will never forget you! Love Fred .
