Yvonne V. Dandie, age 69, a resident of Pompano Beach, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Jackson North Medical Center.
Born in 1949, in Bethel Town, Jamaica, to the late David and Beryl Dandie.
Yvonne commenced her teaching career in 1969. She was an excellent and dedicated Elementary school teacher for 22 years. She taught in Jamaica, the Bahamas,Canada and the United States of America. She obtained a Bachelor of Education Degree. However, Yvonne’s lifelong ambition was to become a nurse. Therefore, in 1992 she changed career path and pursued nursing. From 1992-1998 she practiced as a Licensed Practical Nurse and from 1998-2018 she practiced as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
She is survived by her dear siblings, Joan Anderson, Everest Dandie, Hope Lawrence and her husband Owen, Charles Dandie and his wife Jean, Grace Coley and her husband Donovan, Rose-Marie Dandie, Peter Dandie and his wife Maria, and John Dandie and his wife Pauline. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, January 9th, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Interment will follow at Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
