Lee, Rupert “Archie”, age 87 passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, April 30, 2019.
Dr. Lee was born and raised in Guyana. From Guyana, Archie traveled to London to study. He later moved to Calgary and then Trinidad, where he taught. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry while working in Puerto Rico. An opportunity to do research drew him to Michigan before finally relocating with his family to Florida.
Archie and Gloria enjoyed ballroom dancing, cruising, Broadway musicals, Sudoku and so much more. Archie was a true family man. He looked forward to yearly family vacations and time spent with his grandchildren. He made friends with ease, chatting with strangers wherever he went. He relished visits from family and friends. He was Uncle Archie to many, and a ray of sunshine at family gatherings. He will be sorely missed,
