ENGELMAN, Stuart Michael, age 87, a 31 year resident of south Florida, coming from Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
A veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1951-1954. After the service he began his lifelong career in the beauty industry where he was a well known cosmetologist and hairdresser. During this career Stuart owned and operated numerous salons, and educated those in the industry also owning several beauty schools. Stuart retired to enjoy a life with his wife, family and beloved pets.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ruth Engelman; son, Geoffrey Rexroth; daughter, Kristi Rexroth; brother, Robert “Bob” Engelman and his wife, Diana; grandchildren, Kayla, Justin, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Nikolas, Emma-Rose, and Niko; niece, Danielle; and nephew, Joey.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, June 8th, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with a Tribute of a Lifetime Service at 5:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, family would like for donations to be made in Stuart’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org
