After a long battle with cancer, Annie Theresa Gludovatz Shobe, aged 83, passed away in her home on February 01, 2019. She is survived by her children: Debra Albanese and her husband Timmy Foster, Curtis Shobe and his wife Cindi, Denise Sam, and Donna Rainbow and her husband Gordon. Annie was also blessed with nine grandchildren: Roxanne Shobe, Chad Shobe, Joseph Mallia, Sean Mallia, Brittany Rainbow, Cyle Shobe, Kirra Rainbow, Jaden Rainbow, and Mylee Rainbow; and three great grandchildren: Delanie Mallia, Kobi Tompkins, and Makenna Tompkins.
Annie was born to Lorenz and Rosa Gludovatz on July 01, 1935 in Miami, Florida. Lorenz and Rosa emigrated from Austria and settled in Miami, Florida. Annie spent much of her childhood on L. Gludovatz Stock Farm, but she was never much of a “farm girl.” Annie was known for her big eyes, radiant smile, and fun-loving personality. In high school Annie was voted “Most Athletic” and “Most Mischievous.” Annie was always very fashion-forward, flaunting her long flamingo legs with a trendy outfit and a pair of go-go boots.
Annie was a hard worker with enduring will power. She was the manager at Howard Johnson for 35 years while she raised four children. She instilled a strong work ethic in those around her through example. Family was vital to Annie, and as her family grew, she adopted many new nicknames, including: “Grams,” “Crazy Grandma,” “Annie Boo,” “Boo,” and sometimes just “Hey Crazy.”
When Annie was diagnosed with cancer in December 2017, she fought hard against the illness. Even through multiple rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, Annie found strength to spend precious moments with her family and friends. She went out to dinner and even spent “some” time at the casino. Annie never wanted her family to worry about her as she continued to fight against the disease.
Annie left an indelible mark on all those who knew her. She cared deeply for others, and she received that same love and appreciation in return. Annie was always able to light up the room with her presence. She will truly be missed by all those who knew her.
Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near Still loved, still missed and forever dear. -Author Unknown

To my loving mother in law who treated me as a daughter with true love in her heart at all times and whom was my friend . She was a wonderful mother to her son Curtis and a fun loving grandmother to her 2 grandsons Chad & Cyle Shobe. She loved both of their future wife’s Shantal & Kori with fondness. She praised her Lord whom brought her to the promise land and she will for ever live in our hearts. No more pain & suffering only JOY. We miss you already but know God had other plans . Our Queen in heaven always. Love & Prayers your daughter in law & my only mother in-law Cindi
