Mireya L. Diaz, age 70, of Miramar, Florida passed away with her family by her side on Friday, February 1st, 2019. 

Born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua, preceded in death by her parents Gonzalo Mayorga and Carmen Morales, and her daughter Vanessa. She is survived by her husband and best friend Rafael William, their daughter Kiara, her granddaughters Ysel and Ysabella and sisters Margot and Lidia. Mireya will also be forever remembered by her nieces, nephews, compadres, goddaughters, extended family and dear friends.

Mireya was talented in so many ways. Of her numerous accomplishments she taught Middle School ESL, was a fashion/jewelry designer and dressmaker. She took great pride in obtaining her Master of Science in Education degree from St. John’s University in 2001. She married the love of her life, Rafael, on September 17, 1972 and they had two beautiful  daughters, Kiara and Vanessa.

Her viewing will be on Monday, February 4th from 5:30-9:30pm at Boyd Panciera Family Funeral Care, 6400 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, Florida 33024. (954)-989-9900.

A mass will be held at 10am on Tuesday, February 5th at St John XXIII Catholic Church, 16800 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, FL 33027.
