Mears, Albert Coe, Sr. 94 of Southwest Ranches, FL entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 17, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cypress, Florida on July 1, 1924, Albert was the 4th of 6 children born to Wrillie Blackmon Mears and Milton Henry Mears (deceased).

Albert was a WWII Veteran who was proud to serve his Country.

He married the love of his life, Florence K. Knight Mears on November 8, 1950 and were inseparable for 43 year until her death in 1994.They raised 3 children.

Albert was a custom built contractor for 40 years until he and his sons went into the plant and nursery business in the early 1970’s.

He never knew a stranger. He loved good food and good friends.

Albert and Florence worked hard to make a good life for themselves and their family. He will be forever missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his children, Albert Coe Mears, Jr. (Patty) and Holly Mears Horath (Allan). His Grandchildren, Ashley Mears Krantz (Zachary), Charles Lewis Mears, Albert Coe Mears, III, Michael Ross Sturges, Christopher Allan Horath (Destiny), Travis Lee Horath, Gary Wayne Horath, Cheyenne Camille Horath, Tammy Hobbs Johnston and Heather Lee Hobbs. Great- Grandchildren Matthew Krantz, Elija Peden, Connor Ryan Patterson, Caroline Johnston and Spencer Johnston along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Florence K. Mears, his step-son, Charles Cecil Hobbs, Jr., two brothers, Andrew Mears and Woodrow Wilson Mears, two sisters, Lottie Mears Hewitt and Lillian Mears Lancaster.

The family will receive friends at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel on Friday, June 21st, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tribute of a Lifetime Service will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
