Kirby was such a beautiful, loving soul and a sweet, kind man. He always extended himself to help me with the classmate list to be sure no one was left out. He will be missed so much. My prayers and thoughts are with you for strength. I will always remember him and I know there is a special place in heaven for him!

Kip was a great friend since middle school…..We became close friends in high school and stayed in touch till just 2 weeks ago. Years have gone by with no communication, but when we hooked up we would start arguing over the same crap. He was one of the most intelligent, intuitive, and great conversationalists that I have ever known. I am stunned by his passing as we have just spoke a couple of weeks ago, and we were hoping that all issues would be rectified. Our lives will not be the same without Kirby.I love you Pal, Rest In Peace……………….

So sorry to hear of Kip's passing. Just saw him recently at our last C-M mini reunion. Being such a small school we were all friends and brothers. Sincerest condolences to all Kip's family.

It was always a pleasure talking with Kip about "old" South Florida, as he had great affection for his hometown of Hollywood. His remembrances were the highlight of his many visits to my in-laws' home. Kip was a delightful conversationalist who always had an interesting story to tell, and It saddens me that I'll no longer get to have those discussions with him. Condolences to Kim and to the Lykins and Bjork families.

Kim, I am so saddened of the news and the loss of my office friend for over 20 years in Houston. We were sad when you all left Houston but this is a total shock. Zena, Tony and myself will toast to the life of our dear lost friend at the Red Lion. Kirby's favorite place. My love to you and your family during this difficult time. God Bless. Carlo

Kim, we are saddened by Kirby's passing as it just seems too soon for him to go. One of the many things Art and I remember well about Kirby is how welcoming he was to us when we attended our first Greenway HOA Meeting. Although it was going to be several months before we moved into our condo with the renovation going on, we remember well how Kirby walked over and introduced himself to us and welcomed us into the "hood".
Additionally, we have fond memories of the many dinners we shared together and the great laughs we had! Kirby will be remembered, and we cherish our friendship with you. Sending you love and hugs, Laura and Art

Kirby was unbeatable at Trivial Pursuit and Apples to Apples. My husband David and I loved playing games with him and Kim hoping that this once we would win. Kirby was such a lovely soul — kind, smart, funny, open to ideas, supportive of Kim in all her endeavors. I will miss him very much and am very grateful for the gift of having known him.

I met Kirby, and Kim, via my wife, Pat. From the get go, I loved how much absolute fun we had with common interests in convivial socializing, the arts. music, and the vagaries of air conditioning and real estate.
The Texas Foundation for the Arts, founded in 2001 I believe, was Kim's passion with total support from Kirby – we enjoyed their company at many an opening or documentary preview. I miss Kirby going forward, and am thankful for getting to know him some over these years.
