Escobar, Ana Rosa 96, of Weston passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Born on January 10, 1923 in Arbelaez, Coloumbia.
Ana Rosa was predeceased by her husband Miguel Antonio Escobar and son; Alvaro Escobar, daughters; Olga Cortes and Gladys Veira, sister; Maruja Mora and brothers; Ramon, Luis and Guillermo Ortiz.
She is survived by her sons; Gabriel Escobar (Luz), Jorge Escobar (Deborah), Camilo Escobar (Pamela), daughter’s; Elena Certa, Rosalba Jimenez (Luis) and sister; Nieves Ortiz. She was blessed to have, 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grand children.
Ana Rosa loved being a seamstress, she helped create and design beautiful bridal gowns and ready to wear clothing. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and special family recipes. She was also very musical, you would find her singing and playing a guitar at family gatherings. Her longevity was maintained by daily yoga stretches, long walks and the occasional glass of wine she enjoyed greatly.
Ana lived a long joyous fruitful life filled with laughter, surrounded by her loving family. Her greatest legacy is the day she envisioned living in America and making the United States her home.
A public visitation will take place on Friday, August 30th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, with “Tributes of a Lifetime” at 6:00 pm followed by a prayer service at the Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive Chapel, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
