Jeanne Barbier, age 84, a long time resident of Miramar, coming from Haiti, passed away February 20, 2019 at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. 

She was born on November 18, 1934, in Miragoane, Haiti, to the late Pernier and Vyanaise (Vigne) Chataigne. 

Jeanne’s passion was he family, she dedicated her life to her late husband and children. She loved to have family gatherings and enjoyed to cook for them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Barbier and her son, Patrick Barbier. She is survived by her four children, Jean-Claude Barbier, Gina Blanchard, Jimmy (Cynthia) Barbier, and Karen Barbier. Also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 9th, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. with a Tribute of a Lifetime Service at 10:30 a.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Funeral Mass will start at 12:00 p.m. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery.
