Alberto Font, age 63 of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. He was born on Tuesday, September 18, 1956 in Havana, Cuba to the late Gumersindo and Victoria Font.
He came to the United States as a child, studied at St. John’s Preparatory School in Long Island, New York before proudly serving in the US Army & US Air Force.
Alberto is survived by his wife of 26 years, Joann Storr-Font; son: Genesis (Yanira) Font; daughter: Victoria Font; step-daughter: Sabrina Storr; brother: Fernando (Rena) Font; grandchildren: Angelica Font, Janessa Font, Leahnyss Font, Sada Walker and Sonique Murdock; great-grandchild: Klarissa Font; several nieces & nephews; sisters-in-law: Emily Taylor and Cassandra Stephenson and 3 brothers-in-law and a loving extended group of family and friends.
The family will receive friends at his visitation to be held at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Military Honors and Religious Services to be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12:30 PM, followed by Repast from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
Interment of urn in columbarium to be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 12:30 PM (Lane #1) at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida.

It seems like yesterday I took the photo while living in Virginia (1990s).
Al was a nice personality and one I missed the opportunity to keep and maintain a friendship with over the years after we left the Virginia area and UAL..
Al was a good brother may he rest in peace..
