FITZPATRICK, Edward Francis, age 72, a long time resident of Davie, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019, after battling a long illness. 

He was born on February 20, 1947, in Butler, Pennsylvania, to Edward Peter and Dorothy (Hutchenstein) Fitzpatrick. Ed and Dorothy decided to relocate to Detroit, Michigan when Ed was a young child. At the age of 19, Ed enlisted in the Armed Forces ad proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist until his honorable discharge in April of 1966. Ed worked as a taxi driver for many years before retiring. 

He is survived by his two sons, Edward P. Fitzpatrick and his wife Norma, and Danny Fitzpatrick. He is also survived by grandchildren. 

An urn committal service with military honors will take place on Friday, March 15th, 9:30 a.m. at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
