Pamela Veronica Ennis, aka P, Pam, Peggy, was born on August 22, 1950 at Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica, to Edna Wright and Sylvester Ennis. Pamela was a beautiful young adult when she gave birth to her one and only child, Sharane Knibbs. Pamela moved to the United States in the mid-seventies, she met and married a beautiful soul Derrick Campbell and despite their divorce to this date they are still best of friends.
Pam moved to New York City after leaving her homeland of Jamaica. She met and married Derrick Campbell and they moved to Teaneck New Jersey. In 1985, they moved to Florida. Pamela worked in the Elderly Care Industry, until 2005 when she started working at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino as the Supervisor of Public Space. While working with the Hard Rock Hotel, Pam received many awards such as Outstanding Leadership, Leader of the Pack and Rocker of the Month. After her retirement in 2016, Pam just could not sit still, so she resumed a selfless path working with the elderly at Oakmont Village of Davie. Pam has strong work ethics which was astonishing.
Pam was very spiritual and kept a positive attitude. She loved fashion, jewelry, perfume and staying abreast of current events. She had a love for old school rockers music reggae music, when she danced and sang it was with such joy. Pamela was not one to mess with and she was so loving and transparent. She would not sugarcoat things and she would just tell it like it is and which her daughter, Sharane would say “I can say yes she was”. Pam was sassy, it always made Sharane laugh. Her infectious smile and personality will always be with us.
Pamela enjoyed reading motivational books. She was inspirational woman who inspired others to become a better person. She was the best daughter, caring for her mother and always putting her first, she was the world’s greatest grandmother, and she loved her grandson beyond belief. As a mother, she was so proud and always expressed that she was blessed and highly favored to be a mother.
Pamela is resting, she was an amazing Angel here on earth and God needed another exceptional Angel. She leaves behind her 95 year old mother Edna Wright, daughter Sharane Knibbs, grandson King-Malachi Burke. Half siblings from both her mother and father, cousins, nieces, nephews and so many cherished friends

My deepest condolences to Sharane, Ms. Brown, and King…
My most vivid memory of Pam was when I lived with her and my dad in Teaneck, NJ. She realized that I didn't know how to spell my middle name and kept me on the tiny staircase for what felt like a week until I learned how to spell it. I probably learned how to spell it backwards too ha ha. She is loved and will be missed.
