THERESE GIORDANI of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Florida Medical Center Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Therese was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti on February 2, 1932 to Indiana Tribie’ and Magnus Xavier. She left Haiti as an adult age and landed in New York where she met and married her beloved husband Michel Giordani. They were soul mates, the perfect couple who did everything together but never had children of their own. They were both very faithful to God and members of Christ The King prayer group in Queens, New York. Therese worked at USPBGG-Lehman Brother for many years as an accountant and retired in the mid 90’s when she and Michel moved to South Florida and chose Broward County as their residing location. She was an Administrator at Lehman Brothers.
Therese was very devoted to our Blessed Mother and she had a passion for Jesus and the Holy Spirit. She was a prayer warrior and joined the prayer group LUMIERE at St. Boniface Catholic Church where she met the founder, Claudia Coupet and instantly developed a mother/daughter relationship with her. Therese had a golden heart, she was very active in the group as well as many of the church function. She was an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister as well as a third order Fransiscan and she treasure her moments of silence and prayer time. Therese enjoyed traveling and she visited many international pilgrimage sites. She was a woman of integrity with a strong personality and was loved as well as respected by many. She was very firm in her beliefs and her decision making was non-negotiable. She was quiet yet very wise, observant and hardly complained. Therese was a loving sister, caring cousin, and a true friend. She deeply loved her departed brother Georges Xavier.
Therese leaves a great void in the lives of those who were blessed to have known her closely. She will a constant reminder of our purpose in life which is to know God, to love Him and to serve Him. Her loving memory will forever be in our heart. She will be greatly missed.
