Martin, Gilbert, age 74 of Pembroke Pines passed away on May 22, 2020. He was born on June 12, 1945 in New York, New York to Juan and Josefina Martin. Gilbert was a long-time resident of South Florida for over 63 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Martin and married for 51 wonderful years; brother: Robert Martin; children: William (Teresa) Martin, Jeffrey (Mariloyd) Martin; grandchildren: Matthew, John Clark, Megan, Natalie, Nadine, Brittaney, Nicole, Autumn and Noah; great grandchildren: Harvey and Averey.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Martin.
Gilbert owned and operated Valmar Picture Frames in Miami from 1963 – 1990. He loved Art and he had a strong work ethic. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will forever be in our hearts.
Services and Burial will be Private.

WHAT CAN I SAY. GIL AND I GREW UP TOGETHER. GIL LIVED ON 94 ST. AND I LIVED ON 101 ST WE WENT TO THE SAME JR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL. GIL WAS ALWAYS A GOOD GUY. HE WAS MY COUSIN BUT MORE LIKE A BROTHER. Jeff and Linda I am so sorry to be reading this! Gil was a great guy and I will always have fond memories of him and your family. I hope we can catch up soon. 20 years is too long.
