Gertrude D. Lavelanet, age 85, of Miramar, Florida passed away October 14, 2020. She was born on December 31, 1934 in Gonaive, Haiti.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Leonie Simon; her father: Berthau Debrosse and her husband: Lucien Lavelanet.

Gertrude is survived by her daughter: Chantal Lavelanet-Francis and her son-in-law, Anderson Francis, Jr.; grandsons: Khalil Lavelanet, Anderson Francis, III and Jaden Francis; brother, Pierre Debrosse; sister: Gisele Debrosse.

Visitation to be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Prayer Service at 5:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida.

My deepest condolences to you Chantal and your etire family. A great woman, a wonderful neighbor; a caring grandmother; a mother; a beautiful woman and last but not least, a wonderful friend. Now, the angels in heaven want there share. She will be missed by all those whom she came across but her time with us is over now. Rest in peace Gertrude. Sleep in Jesus.

My sincere condolences to you, Chantal and your beautiful family. I had the pleasure of meeting your mom and witnessed her wit, smiles and love for you. You have been a fantastic, wonderful and caring daughter to her.
Everyone could see that your love had not boundaries. Know that your mom will always be in your heart and that she left her legacy of love and kindness in you. Her soul will rest in peace.
