Hollywood resident, Henry Lynn Ward, 83, passed away in hospice on October 3rd, 2020.

He was predeceased by his mother Edythe R. Nall and father Henry H. Ward; his brothers Joe Ward and Clark Curlette; and his 3 stepsons David, Stephen, and Robert Schroth.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Harriet V. Ward, and his 2 daughters, Diane Ward and Teresa Haughn, along with her husband, Raymond Haughn. Henry Lynn Ward is further survived by his cousins, Dick Jones and Dailey Jones, along with additional family members, Linda Curlette, Carol Ward, Shirley Ward, Allison Schroth, Vickey Rand, Georgeanne Schroth, Robert Haughn, and Melody Haughn.

Lynn was a proud Florida native and graduated from Miami Jackson High School. He was enlisted in the Navy Reserve; worked as an associate at Sears & Roebuck; was an operating facility coordinator at Peoples Gas Company; and most recently, an associate at Bass Pro Shops.

From an early age, Lynn had a passion for the water and was an avid boater and fisherman. He also loved woodworking, photography, and square-dancing with his wife Harriet. For several years he was a faithful volunteer & supporter for the Broward Ostomy Association (BOA) and counseled many new ostomates who were struggling with life adjustments, helping them to regain a sense of normalcy after having colon cancer surgery.

Lynn will be remembered fondly by his family and friends as a warm, kind, and joyful man who loved the outdoors, being around people, and having lively conversations.

At his wife’s request, there will be no services held at this time. Donations can be made in his memory to the Broward Ostomy Association c/o the Lueders, 2100 South Ocean Drive, Apt. 16M, Ft Lauderdale FL, 33316, 501(c)3, or the American Cancer Society.

Condolences to the family. Lynn and I were alumni of the Class of 1955 Miami Jackson High. We were able to catch up at one of our many reunions. May Lynn RIP.
