Albert St Vivian Todd, age 90, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2020 at Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
He was the fifth of nine children born to Percival and Sadie Todd on April 5, 1930 in the parish of Hanover, Jamaica. He was a graduate of Ruseas High School where he excelled in the cadet core.
He got married in June 1963 to Hazel, a union that lasted 52 years until her passing in 2015. Albert worked in law enforcement for the Jamaican Constabulary Force for over 15 years until he and his wife migrated to the United States in February 1969. He continued in that line of work in New York where he worked as a security officer in a bank for over 30 years. In 2001, after retiring from the bank, he and his wife migrated to Pembroke Pines, Florida where he lived until his passing.
Albert is survived by his son: Peter Todd and wife Camilla; grandson: Phillip Todd and great-grandson: Paul Alexander Todd. He is also survived by sisters: Flavia Dickson, Flona Todd and Gwendolyn Simmonds; nephews: Richard Todd and wife Bobbette, Phillip Todd and wife Lynn, and Howard Musson; nieces: Melanie Davis, Patricia Goldsmith, Elizabeth Dawkins and husband Sylvester, Christine Edwards and husband Edmund and Allison Dickson.
Visitation and Service to be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 10:30 AM, Prayer Service at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
