Josephine Marie LaBella, age 91 passed away peacefully November 23, 2020. She was born March 19, 1929 in Port Chester, NY. Josephine and her husband of 61 years, Dominick (predeceased her in 2008) moved to Miami, FL in the 50’s.
Josephine was an active member and employee at St. Mary’s Cathedral Catholic Church, Miami, FL for 25 years. After her retirement she moved to Weston, FL and worked several years at Our Lady
Queen of Heaven Cemetery and 6 years ago moved to Gainesville, FL.
Josephine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Being with her family made her so happy and her smile was contagious when everyone
was together! She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and the Hard Rock casino.
Josephine was survived by her children; son John, grandson Nicholas; daughter, Catherine Diaz, grandchildren, Joey and Cassandra; daughter, RoseAnn Voils (Ramon) grandchildren, Anthony and Christopher (predeceased); and son Nick (Teresa).
Due to Covid there will be a private service for immediate family only on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in remembrance of her grandson Christopher’s foundation www.christophermemorial.org

Jo was kind, sweet and a generous lady. But she also could speak her mind and rightly so. She loved her family and showed it by example.
She was also a woman of faith and a strong believer.
My family truly enjoyed her sense of humor. She could make you laugh, laugh with you and even laugh at herself.
She will be missed but we know she is in Devine peace in heaven.
