Richard P. Hahn Jr. “Rick,” age 54, of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 21, 1966 to the parents of Johna and Richard Hahn. Rick’s family moved to Hollywood, Florida when he was 3 years old where he lived most of his life. He grew up with a love for sports. He met his wife, Cherri, of 24 years in their Miramar neighborhood where he asked her to a U2 concert for their first date on May, 22 of 1985. Rick will be remembered for his contagious laugh, silly jokes, and bigger than life personality. He enjoyed fishing, being near the water, and watching his favorite football team the Miami Dolphins.
His happiest times were spent with his beloved family and friends. Rick was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend to everyone he met. Although he was taken too soon, he will always be remembered in the hearts of those who loved him. He is survived by his daughter Kayli Hahn; son Kyle Hahn; sister Sherry Hahn; brother Steven Hahn; wife Cherri Hahn; and parents Johna and Richard Hahn.
There will be a private burial at sea service on Saturday, December 19th, 2020.

I am sad. Rick was supposed to spend some time in Lake Tahoe just before his passing and things did not work out so I never got to see him. We spoke daily about making healthy lifestyle changes and I looked forward to creating more memories in our old age. I will miss our hilarious outlooks and conversations that we would share with belly aching laughs. We shared so many good times as kids and adults and I will hold on to those memories. Watching your kids grow up and playing Santa Claus every year will always be one of the fondest memories I have. I send prayers and positive vibes so that Cherri, Kyle and Kayli stay strong and hold tight. I am still in disbelief that your gone old friend. Things aren’t supposed to happen this way. Love and light to your family and our friends. One last peace out, brother.

Hahn Family,
Very sorry for your loss. Rick was a good man and friend. We will always remember the great New Year’s Eve parties at his house in Hollywood. Great host, ton of fun to be around and a straight shooter. We will always have the good memories to remember him by. I hope you find peace and make it through this tough time.

Well, crap.
I have heard Rick’s name for many years. Jimmie and Rick grew up together. They shared being a Dad with their kids. Peace River Trips, Holidays, and lots of Odd Celebrations. So many laughs, while being avid Dolphin Fans and playing Fantasy Football.
Rick is gone, and my son is heart broken. A piece of Jimmie’s heart is with Rick. And, heaven knows Jimmie has a bad heart, but the love for his friend will go on through their shared friendships.
Rick and Jimmie were very competitive. When Rick did not like something Jimmie did or said, it got a “Nar Nar” from Rick. Rick was a great cook, gardener, and friend. Rest in Peace. Praying for strength and acceptance for Cherri, Kayli, Kyle. Rick will be missed by many, but, especially by his “Wing Man.”

It’s hard to believe that Rick is gone. He had an amazing sense of humor, loved being the center of attention! I remember our shared family trips to the Keys camping, and the west coast of Florida, we had great times…. also the New Year’s eve parties!! He will be surely missed. Sending you love and light and remember that he will always be with you! Rest in Peace Rick!

Cheri, Kayli,and Kyle,
Jeff and I are so sorry for the loss of Rick. Although we did not know him well, we do remember him as being a very friendly and nice guy. We are very sad to hear this news. We have been losing too many young men in recent years. We will be making a donation to the Humane Society as requested. ( Our last and present dog is from the Humane Society).
