Antonietta Valenza Petrillo (“Toni”) was called home by the Lord on December 15, 2020 at the age of 90.  Toni was born in Pantelleria, Italy, a small island situated off the coast of Sicily.  She met and married Anthony in Italy and followed him to America to start their new life.  They spent 47 loving years together until his death in 2007.  Toni was a devout Catholic and devoted wife and mother. She had a big heart, was an amazing cook, and put everyone else’s needs ahead of her own.  She retired from the Broward County Clerk of Courts after spending more than a decade in the office of Civil Appeals.  She loved her regular visits to the gym, the energy of New York City, visiting her family and friends in Italy and traveling the world with her husband.  Toni is survived by her son George, daughter Janet, sister Rosa Gualtieri, brother Sergio (Laura), and several nieces and nephews. She will be very missed by her family and all of those who loved her.  Many thanks to her caregivers Anithe and Joyce for being wonderful caregivers and friends to her.

Visitation to be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

A small memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines, Florida followed by entombment at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in North Lauderdale, FL.

Due to COVID concerns, all events will be small.
