Marlene (“Mal”) was born in Monticello, New York and was raised in both Brooklyn and the Catskill Mountains (Woodridge). She married the “love of her life” Arnold Premer recently celebrating their 67th Anniversary.

In 1955, they moved to Miami Beach and then North Miami Beach/Aventura. Music was her passion, proficient in both the piano and accordion. Marlene’s professional career in education included teaching 2nd grade at North Miami’s William J. Bryan Elementary School and Supervisor of Interns at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

She is survived by her husband Arnold, brother Martin Cohen, son Howard Premer (Ilene), daughter Randi Garlitz (Dr. Jay Garlitz), grandchildren Dustin Garlitz, Janine Garlitz-Arno (Michael Arno), Blake Premer, Dr. Courtney Premer-Barragan (Jorge Barragan), great-grandchildren Maxwell and Sophia Arno.

Graveside Services are Private however the Rabbi and Family is providing a Zoom invitation to view her burial on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
