My condolences and prayers to the family. I met Gary and subsequently his family through his sister Ellen over 40 years ago. Gary was always so full of life and his thirst for knowledge had no end. He touched so many people’s lives. We will meet again one day.

The Clan of the Kilbride’s has lost a salty old soul. A caring dad. & a friend to many. Gary loved his family & St Thomas & surrounding islands. I had the privilege of diving with him. And having many memories. The most recent was watching the Blue Angels in JAX with Bobbi & my family. Prayers for peace to his beautiful & caring family. Let his legend live on in each of you. God bless you.

When I was a Contractor, Gary was the first Building Department Plans Examiner that brought me in past the counter, and explained the South Florida Building Code to me in 1994. Who would of thought I would eventually become an Inspector, and work with Gary later as a fellow Plans Examiner together in Pembroke Pines. He also introduced me to Bert, his beloved “Pirate” Father.
He is missed by all, especially those who learned the Construction Trade, in his evening training classes.

My deep condolences.
Gary and I served together in US Naval Aviation 60+ years ago flying in the majestic Skywarriors — both of us in the new field of Aviation Fire Control with then-new electronic computers and associated radar systems.
And in the last decade we often met again on numerous internet Bulletin Boards and Facebook Groups, exchanging our memories and sea stories.
Fair winds and following seas, old Cold War shipmate.
