Emelyn Alvarez, age 44, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away at home in the presence of her family on March 30, 2021. She was born in Hialeah, Florida on September 1, 1976.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years: Raul Alvarez; children: Veronica Alvarez and Antoni Alvarez; parents: Carlos and Sonia Duranza; sister: Sonia (Jason) Carter and brother: Carlos (Stephanie) Duranza, Jr.

Visitation to be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera University Drive Chapel, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7450 Stirling Road, Hollywood, Florida 33024.

Followed by graveside service on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th Street, Miami, Florida 33172.
