Dora Argentina Dubón was a caring and gracious wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who passed away on August 27th, 2021, at the age of 75 in her home in Pembroke Pines, FL.

Dora was the eldest of seven children, born April 26th, 1946, in San Marcos de Colón, Honduras to parents Raúl Bonilla and Maximina Calderón. She attended “Escuela Normal de Señoritas” in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where she earned a degree in Education and became a school teacher. In 1968 she married Fernando Dubón and immigrated to New York, where she earned her license to practice Hair Dressing and Cosmetology.  In 1978 she moved to Miami and continued her hair dressing career at a salon where she perfected her craft and made many lifelong friends.  After 32 years, she retired and became an excellent homemaker, who received extreme joy from cooking and baking for friends and family.  She enjoyed social gatherings and was an exceptional host with a witty sense of humor who made everyone she met feel welcomed and loved. 

Dora is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Mark) Roman and Shirley (Noah) Ravenna; granddaughter, Emma Roman; two sisters, Margot Georgina Bonilla and Rosario (Oscar) Méndez, two brothers, Max (Patricia) Bonilla and José Roberto (Caridad) Bonilla. In heaven she will be joining her husband, Fernando Dubón and two brothers, Marco Tulio Bonilla and José Ramón Bonilla.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 4th, 2021, from 2-5pm at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care located at 1600 North University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.

Dora Argentina Dubón fue una esposa, madre, abuela, hermana y amiga llena de amor que murió el 27 de Agosto de 2021, a los 75 años en su casa en Pembroke Pines, FL.  

Dora era la mayor de siete hermanos, nacida el 26 de abril de 1946 en San Marcos de Colón, Honduras. Sus padres eran Raúl Bonilla and Maximina Calderón. Asistió a la “Escuela Normal de Señoritas” en Tegucigalpa, Honduras, donde recibió un título de Educación y se convirtió en una maestra de la escuela. En 1968, se casó con Fernando Dubón e inmigraron al estado de Nueva York donde obtuvo su licencia para practicar Cosmetología. En 1978 se trasladó a Miami y continuó su carrera en un salón de belleza donde perfeccionó su arte e hizo muchos amigos de por vida. Después de 32 años, se jubiló y se convirtió en una excelente ama de casa, quien le dio mucha alegría a cocinar y hacer postres para amigos y familiares. Ella disfrutaba reuniones sociales y era una anfitriona excepcional con un sentido del humor ingenioso que hacía sentir a todos bienvenidos y queridos.  

Dora es sobrevivida por sus hijas, Nancy (Mark) Román y Shirley (Noah) Ravenna; nieta, Emma Roman; dos hermanas, Margot Georgina Bonilla y Rosario (Oscar) Méndez, dos hermanos, Max (Patricia) Bonilla and José Roberto (Caridad) Bonilla.  En el cielo ella se reunirá con su esposo, Fernando Dubón, y sus dos hermanos, Marco Tulio Bonilla y José Ramón Bonilla.

El funeral será el Sábado, 4 de Septiembre de 2021, de 2-5 de la tarde en Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care ubicado en 1600 North University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.

Dear Nancy & Shirley,
We are so sorry to hear of Dorita’s passing. She was a kind, warm and loving person. My brother and I have many beautiful memories of her in New Jersey. May se rest in peace in heaven surrounded by those in our families who preceded her.
