“A Mother’s Love”
Thermutis Agatha Whittingham was born on January 16, 1931 in Lamb’s River Westmoreland, Jamaica to Rosyln and Michael Whittingham.
Lovingly known as Miss Lilly, Sister Lilly and Aunt Lil to the many lives that she touched. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Sister Kissoonlal was a woman of faith and conviction in the Jehovah’s Witnesses Organization from 1958 until her death. You would know that she was in attendance in the Kingdom Hall Meetings. Her melodic voice filled the entire room as she sang earnestly, praising her heavenly Father.
Thermutis Kissoonlal married Reginald Rhamsoodar Kissoonlal on November 12, 1952. They Built a home and lived in Exchange District, St Ann, raising their children.
In 1968, she moved to Highland Park, New Jersey where her family joined her in 1969 residing in Piscataway, New Jersey. Then in 1976, the family moved to Miami, Florida to present.
Miss Lilly was a pillar in the community. She was a self taught midwife who assisted in delivering many babies in her district. She provided care, food, and shelter for children in need , as well as, sponsoring them to attend school.
In the United States, she worked her way up from being a cashier at Woolworth’s to a Manager. In later life, she was a nursing aide; providing care for elderly patients.
Her spirit was contagious. She loved singing especially nursery rhymes and songs to her grand children. She created the lyrics to some of those loved songs that she sang for her grandchildren; which are famous amongst them and has been passed on from each generation. She was a story teller, captivating in her teachings, and steadfast in her beliefs and preachings to the community. She was excellent swimmer, a lover of life and her family.
She was not only an incredible Mother, she was an incredible human being. Always seeking ways to help and provide for others in need. She enjoyed lively debates, fascinating her audiences with her words of wisdom, always imparting knowledge. There were always morals to each story and lessons learned from those conversations.
Thermutis Kissoonlal is Survived by her 6 children: Ian, Hanif, Rohan, Anand, Abi Althea and Abigail; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, 1 brother, nieces, nephews, Grand nieces, grand nephews and a host of extended family members.
She fought her illness for over 10 years, with unmatched strength and resilience.
In her final days, Mommy was surrounded by her beloved six children enjoying one of her most simple pleasures; listening to her kingdom songs with her children singing to her and praying for her peace and comfort.
On December 18, 2021 at 5:40 a.m. she finally surrendered and entered eternal paradise.
She is now free from pain and suffering and is missed deeply by her children and all who loved, cherished, and adored her. Yet, we know that the indelible imprints that she left on our souls will last an eternity.
Visitation to be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with Eulogies and Video Tribute at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Religious Service to be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

Please accept our deep heart felt condolences. Having lost parents, Stephen and I with much empathy understand the passing away of your mother.
Your mom was such a hospitable person and showed loving kindness in abundance so many.
The resurrection hope was her strong belief and we look with much anticipation to seeing her again in Jehovah’s promised earthly paradise.

We’re so sorry to hear about our dear Sister Lilly’s passing.We remember her kindness,her patience and also her empathy.Her strong faith in Jehovah is worthy of imitation.She was not just a friend,she was family.
Ian,Hanif,Rohan,Anand,Althea and Gail,please know that you are in our heart, thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
