Robert Glavey II

May 31, 1937~August 16, 2022

Robert Francis Glavey, II (Bob) went to Heaven Tuesday evening on August 16,
2022. He was born on May 31, 1937 in Trenton, New Jersey to Mary Bird and Robert F. Glavey,

He married Theresa Grimme Wright on September 9, 1984. This September 9, 2022,
Bob and Theresa would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary.

Bob loved his two step-children; Wesley B. Wright Jr. and Sarah A. Wright as his own.
He is survived by his siblings;  Tom Glavey, Kitty Lambert, Mary Lou Parsons,
Donna Jones, John Glavey and Jim Glavey, and predeceased by his brother Philip
Glavey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He also
shared his life and love with his siblings and his wife’s family.

Bob spent seven years as a missionary in the interior of Brazil from 1976-1983 and had a very close relationship with God, our Heavenly Father. He had personal experience and Faith in His enduring love, and wanted everyone around him to share that same experience, to understand His love for each and every one of us.

Bob and his wife Theresa shared a deep love for nature and God’s critters from the oceans, the skies,
Everglades, Redwood Forest to the Grand Canyon. Bob was always in “awe” of how God revealed
Himself in everyone and everything. His easy way, his counsel, his jokes and his LOVE will be missed so very much!

There will be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Annunciation
Catholic Church,  3781 SW 39 St. West Park, FL. 33023.

There are few people we meet that light up the room as Bob did. His gentle nature and love of God and his family were obvious.
I loved our long deep discussions about everything. He really lit up when we would talk about God and the Bible.
He had the biggest heart, most beautiful soul piercing eyes and one of the smartest people I’ve met. He was a giver. I am so blessed for the time we spent together. Forever grateful for all the love and wisdom he shared.
Im sure he has an express pass into heaven.
I imagine God telling him as he enters heaven…Well done my son.
Till we meet again my friend I’ll always hold you in my heart.
