Shawn Alexis Jr., AKA, King Shawn; Noble Shawn was born on October 11, 1995, in Miami, Florida to parents Shawn Alexis Sr. and Elese Louissaint.
Shawn graduated from North Miami Beach Senior High School in 2014. Shawn attended North Country College in New York 2014. Shawn was a fun-loving high achiever that was quite successful at everything he set his mind on doing.
Shawn was a C-director, entrepreneur, pro basketball trainer, and model. As a C director, he created, curated, promoted, and managed his social media content, text, audio, visual and multimedia formats. Shawn the entrepreneur, identified a niche in his community that wasn’t being filled and thus started his fashion brand clothing line @l8bloomer in 2020. Shawn the model launched his modeling career wherein; he modelled sportswear for companies like Nike, Champs Sports, and he also modeled jewelry for @Shopgld to name a few. As a model, he was featured in Forbes magazine in an article written by Demetrius Bell unveiling the U.S. Olympic Basketball Uniform in 2020.
Shawn the pro basketball trainer was a coach who exhibited great knowledge of the game which he loved. He prepared athletes of all types and skill levels for competition. Shawn loved to train children thereby building rapport and relationship. This was the job that he enjoyed and valued the most. Those who knew Shawn, knew him as a vivacious person who enjoyed the time, he spent with friends and family especially his brother and father every Sunday evenings. He will surely remain alive in their hearts forever.
He leaves to mourn his sudden passing: his father Shawn Alexis Sr., mother Elese Louissaint, younger brother Blake Alexis, sister Kimberly Renee Alexis, nephews: Shawndre and Keano, paternal grandparents: Marie Soledad and Oleus Alexis, maternal grandparents: Elmina and Devilon Loussaint, stepmother, Yaya-Samilia, aunts: Jackline, Annette, Myriamme, Garline, and Mésonese, uncles: Fr. Robinson, Orest, Fritz, Furgason, Cambran and Batravil, Cousins: Jeannine, Edwine, Fredline, Melissa, Guirlande, and Samsom. Special thanks to all family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10, 2022, starting 11:00 AM with Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Mark Catholic Church.
