Ruth Joyce Hamilton Garner affectionately known by her children as Mickey, was born in Portland, Jamaica West Indies on May 7, 1935, to
the parents of Ronford Hamilton and Ruby Davidson. She migrated to the united states in the late sixties and lived in Cleveland Ohio, where she met and married Elmer Garner. She also started working in the Healthcare industry at the same time. She moved to New York in the early eighties and continued working in the Healthcare nursing home facilities in Queens and Long Island. She also became a foster mom for a time while living in Queens. She moved to Florida last year when her health started declining. Ruth was extremely passionate about her church life at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Rosedale N.Y. Being a 30 Year member on the choir she will be remembered for her sincere love and devotion.

Ruth was a professional bowler for most of her life; her passion for the sport was over the top. She was an extremely energitic and vibrant person and all will remember her wonderful smile, her unique ability to play the harmonica, and her bright personality. Her children will lovingly remember her playing the harmonica for every birthday and holidays. She was the life of the party, she loved to sing and dance while gifted with a beautiful voice. She is survived by her siblings; Carmen Walcott, Robin Hamilton, Dawn Hamilton, Leighton Hamilton, Beverly Hamilton. Her children; Marie, Marva(Junie)/Claude, Delano(Omar), Dawn(Grady) Grand children; Richard, Zachary, Marie, Shaye, Danica, Deandra, Ciara, Grady, Queron, Zahra. Great Grand children; Rayven, Isabella, Noah, Damien, and more. Step Son; Toussaint God Daughter; Yolanda Family Pet; Princess Fiona

There is a gathering of family and friends on Friday, November 18, 2022  from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM to be held at Boyd-Panciera’s University Drive Chapel located at 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.Burial to follow at Vista Memorial Gardens, 14200 NW 57th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014
