BARBARA ETTA WEST

October 17, 1951 – December 25, 2022

Barbara Etta West, 71, of Cooper City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2022, surrounded by her children. She was born in Canton, Ohio on October 17, 1951, to Doyal and Lois West. Barbara has lived in Florida for almost her whole life.  She graduated from Hialeah High School in 1969. Barbara worked as a payroll supervisor for many years in Miami and retired in 2015.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Gehring; her brother, Charles West and her sister Judy Plastino. She is survived by her children, Melissa DeJoris and husband Mike, Melanie Morrill and husband Andy, Brian Reublin and wife Dawn and her brother Dale West and wife Denise. Barbara was an extremely proud grandmother to Abby, Ryan, Dominic, Deidric and Bradley and a loving aunt to nieces and nephews.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends. She loved camping tips at her favorite places – Ft Wilderness and at Red Coconut. She had a zest for life and always wanted everyone to have the best time.  Her smile was contagious and her personality was as big as her heart.

A Memorial Gathering is scheduled on Thursday, December 29th, 2022, from 6:00PM-8:00 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:00 PM at the Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care located at 1600 North University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida, 33024.
