Rose Caterina was born in Cambridge, MA on July 4, 1926 to Antonio and Rose Fratianni. The family moved to the Bronx, NY where she met and married Nafrio Caterina. In 1969, they moved to Hollywood, FL with their two daughters Diane and Linda. Rose worked at the Broward County Courthouse until her retirement in 1994. She spent her later years at Century Village in Pembroke Pines where she made many new friends with just a friendly “HELLO”. Her most memorable and enjoyable times were with her family, playing cards with her friends and watching sports. She is remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Rose is predeceased by her husband Nafrio and grandson, Nicholas Transue  and survived by her daughters, Diane (Ted) Transue  & Linda Precanico; grandchildren, Jarrod  (Patricia) Transue,  Joseph (David Hennessy) Precanico & Paula Precanico: great grandchildren, James Transue, Thomas Santarcangelo & Marie (Michael) Fishman; and great great granddaughter, Maddison.

A Memorial Mass to be held Monday, February 6, 2023, 11:00AM at Nativity Catholic Church located at 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood, Florida 33021 followed by inurnment at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
