On June 27, 2023, Charles “Chip” Bisbano, 76 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his home. Chip fought cancer courageously for over a year but never let that stop him from living life to the fullest.
Chip was born on October 3, 1946 in Manhattan, New York, moved to Miami shortly afterward and graduated from North Miami High School in 1964. He received his college degree from Florida Atlantic University and his Master’s in Education at Southwest Louisiana in Lafayette.
Throughout his life, Chip enjoyed simple pleasures. Whether chatting with numerous friends or family members, golfing or spending time with his grandkids during sporting events he was a presence that was always welcomed and appreciated. Chip had an uncanny ability to reach people in a positive way. His life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
He is survived by his wife, Susie, his son, Charles (Nicole) Bisbano, his daughter Nicole (James) Geraghty, his loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Benjamin and Charlotte, his siblings, Tony, Jerry, Peter and Mary and his former wife, Karen Weiss. Being a kind and dependable man was of the utmost importance to Chip and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Friday, July 7th at 2:00pm at Boyd-Panciera Funeral Home, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024. After the service, a “Celebration of Life” for family and friends to reminisce, grieve and support one other will be at Woodmont Country Club, 7801 NW 80th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida 33321.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation; https://curecca.link/CharlesBisbano.

So sad to hear this news about “Chip”. I met Chip when I was younger back in North Miami. My parents, Rod & Millie Urbanek were friends with he and Karen and Barbara & Wally Engelhard. I used to babysit for Charlie & Nicole in my teens when they lived in Plantation, Fl. So many great memories from the famous Christmas Parties to our Friday evenings at the “Parkway Pub”. Hanging out with the adults as a teenager was the absolute best back in the 80’s & 90’s. I remember him always being so incredibly genuine and just how important family meant to him. My last memory of Chip was when I ran into him at Costco in Davie, Fl. when I was shopping for a corporate event as an adult and now a mother many years later. It was like time hadn’t even passed and we were just reminiscing about the good ole’ days. He treated everyone like family. Sending many prayers to the family, his children especially and grandchildren during this difficult time. Heaven gained an amazing human! Rest in peace, Chip!

I met Chip in 1970 when he stopped by Bryan Elementary and asked if I was interested in coaching at North Miami recreation ! Many great nights of playing softball and basketball for “The Uke” and socializing at the bar ! Very fortunate to know the Bisbano family ! Later on Chip asked me to Dj parties at his home and The Parkway Pub ! He often asked me about Susie Morton since she taught at Bryan as well ! I relayed the the messages to her and the rest is history !! Rest in peace my good friend 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

My memories of the BISBANO family go way back to the Uke bar and the group of N Miami friends that are still a close group today.
Over the years Chip has been helpful to all of us in one way or another. You could always count on him. Our kids grew up at the same time and extended our group. For many years Chip would help me with our golf tournament and other events for charity. I would in turn help him with his/Susie’s events. Always there when you needed him and always checking to see how things were going. A true friend and a a man who fought a courageous battle! He will be missed and never forgotten
RIP Chip – Larry Ball and family

It’s often hard to find the right words at a time like this.
I first met Chip in 2010 when he was running a game at Inverrary.
He was always a kind, insightful and candid individual who would converse on many subjects .Chip was a presence at the course ,and a honorable man .
May the Bisbano family find peace and comfort and celebrate the life of a great human being. See you at Heaven’s golf course Chip!

Dearest Bisbano Family,
I met “Chip” Bisbano in 1967 when the Mitchell family moved to Miami from Pittsburgh. I became fast friends with Chip’s sister Mary and we are friends to this day. My brother Pat Mitchell became friends with Chip’s brother Jerry and they also are friends to this day.
I have such wonderful memories of the Bisbano family as they were 4 boys and 1 girl just like the Mitchell family.
They were all super nice and alot of fun to be around. Chip was also very sweet and a very nice person.
I will miss him dearly and my thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.
