MIHAI SOLOGON

MIHAI SOLOGON

October 20, 1946~July 07, 2023

Mihai Sologon, loving husband, father and grandfather passed peacefully at home in the early hours of July 7th 2023 at age 76. Although his last year on Earth was marked by a terrible disease, he lived a full and happy life. Seeing his children starting new lives across the ocean, he decided to join them together with his wife Ana (Lili for those who know her closely) in 2003. After a very productive life in Romania, balancing family and work, he made the big and difficult step of coming to the New World in a late stage of his life for the purpose of joining his immediate family and with the goal of helping raise the first descendants of the family born in United States.

He was an avid seeker of new experiences, he liked walking and biking and discovering new things around his neighborhood or wherever he might have travelled. Despite the language barrier, he always liked to talk to and befriend new people. He took advantage of the cosmopolitan fiber of South Florida in order to meet people that came here from all over the world. He also liked to be a South Florida guide to people visiting from Romania.

He was very proud of his grandchildren and contributed a great deal in their upbringing.

He is survived and he will be forever missed by his wife, Ana, his daughter and son, Dana and Corneliu, son-in-law, Nick and his grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas.

Visitation is Monday, July 10th, 2023 from 11 AM to 12 PM with Funeral Mass following immediately at 12PM at The Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church located at 6232 Filmore St, Hollywood FL 33024. After the mass, the burial will take place at the nearby Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Lasa in urma sotia, Ana, fiica si fiul, Dana si Corneliu, ginerele Nick si nepotii, Michael si Nicholas.
