Edward Michael Shea (73) from Davie Florida passed away on 9/27/23. Edward is survived by his loving wife Karen Shea, his children Chris and his wife Tammy and son Ethan, and his daughters Amy and Tammy. Edward held many titles in his life, from businessman, to athlete, but his favorite role was being a loving husband and father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his wife and family. He was always there for them, whether he and Karen were driving around looking for the best place to watch the air and sea show, helping his children sort through big decision making sure they were making the best choice, talking air conditioning, or construction of any kind, or coming to the rescue when something breaks, he was always our savior, and of course almost every evening eating dinner and watching a good movie in the living room with his girls Karen, Amy, and Tammy, and the family dogs Charlie and Belle. While Ed lost his fight with cancer and left us far too soon, the impact he had on our family and community will be felt for years to come. His children Chris, Amy, and Tammy plan to continue his legacy showing the world how great their father was. Chris followed in his father’s footsteps as the owner of an air conditioning contracting business, Amy as a high school teacher educating the next generation, and Tammy is taking over the family business that everyone knows Weather Wise Inc. Despite spending much of his last few weeks in and out of the hospital, Ed never lost his sense of humor cracking jokes with his children or the hospital staff, attempting to make friends with everyone he met, and always making a point to tell anyone who would listen how lucky he was to have his kids and how that the luckiest day of his life was the day he chose to marry his beautiful wife, our mom Karen Shea.
