Lorraine Waldron, aged 95, peacefully embarked on her final journey to be with Our Lord on Friday, February 2, 2024.
Born on July 4, 1928, in Brooklyn, NY, to Morris Friedberg and Rose Lerner, Lorraine’s early years saw her family’s relocation to Miami in the early 1940s. Following her education in public school, she pursued her passion for art at an art school while concurrently employed at downtown Miami’s Wometco Theatre. Transitioning into a successful career as a freelance commercial artist for Department Stores, she later dedicated over 25 years of service at Equifax until her retirement.
Lorraine’s love story unfolded when she met her beloved Wally (Engle Travis) Waldron at a Masquerade Party. Their bond blossomed, leading to marriage, and in 1955, they settled in West Hollywood where they nurtured their family. Wally’s passing in 1976 marked the end of a profound love, as Lorraine remained steadfast in her devotion, choosing not to seek another partner. He remained her one true love.
An epitome of familial roles, Lorraine gracefully embodied the titles of Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Friend, and cherished Babysitter to her beloved grandson. Known for her nurturing presence, she extended maternal care to all who knew her, encapsulating the essence of a beautiful, loving woman.
A devout Christian, Lorraine found solace in her faith. Alongside Wally, she raised her family in The Episcopal Church of The Holy Sacrament, Davie, FL, where her unwavering devotion to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit illuminated her journey. With her passing, we find comfort knowing she has attained the Ultimate Healing.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Engle Travis Waldron, sister Selma Wells, brother Joseph Freidberg, and nephew Richard Wells. She is survived by her daughters: Karen Waldron, Adrienne Renick (Richard), Kathy Hess, Grandson Travis Hess, her loyal companion Falkor, and her nieces: Linda Vazquez (Luis), Marci Reid, and nephew David Freidberg, M.D.
May her memory continue to illuminate our lives, inspiring love, and kindness.

Scott and I were very sad to hear of Lorraine’s passing. She was always our favorite coworker at Equifax. Always a smile and an encouraging word.
What a joyous reunion she must have had with Wally. 💕

Lorraine was like a loving mother to me.
I spent many hours in the Waldron home during my important coming of age years.
I remember sitting at the little kitchen table for snacks & talks…Adrienne & I being hushed when giggling in church…and our late night talks during sleepovers.
Lorraine was kind, light hearted and warm. She was a wonderfully loved mother by her own daughters, as well as by many others.
May she rest in peace. 🙏🏻
