Karl R. Fuller was born on March 26, 1937, in Gordon Town, Jamaica as the fifth child to Ira and Merris Fuller. Karl grew up with his four brothers and three sisters and attended Kingston Technical High School. While in Jamaica, Karl accepted the Lord Jesus as his Saviour and was actively involved in Church Ministries, particularly singing in the choir (he had an excellent Bass voice). He was a member of the Gospel Bells Quartet which became popular in Christian circles and would accompany the Pastor as he preached throughout the island. Many souls accepted Christ through his ministry. Karl was an ambitious teenager, and at 16, worked at Jamaica Public Works and eventually saved to buy a plot of land and was the first person in his family to own a car, a blue Hilman Minx.

In December 1958, at the age of 21, Karl moved to England. Over the next four years, he continued his studies in Accounting, worked various jobs and joined another quartet called the Gospel Heralds, where he formed lifelong friendships with Frank Cooper and the other members.  They traveled throughout the UK singing praises to the Lord and eventually recorded an album. While in England, Karl maintained contact with a young lady from Kingston (Norrice) who moved to Scotland to pursue her nursing career. The two were married in March 1963, and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.

The new couple moved to Toronto in 1963 and welcomed their first son Andrew sometime later. While in Toronto, he forged many new friendships and became a member and eventual president of the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) which served the Jamaican Community in Toronto.  After seven years in Toronto, Karl and the family moved to Boston, Massachusetts to continue his education at Boston University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Urban Planning. While in Boston, the family had a second son, Craig.  During this time in Boston, Karl attended the Community Gospel Chapel where he continued to serve his Lord and forged life-time bonds with many friends.

The family moved back to Toronto in 1978 where he continued his work in different aspects of community service. He continued his work with the JCA, was also the director of an organization providing  computer training for the physically disabled, served on the Board of Directors for a George Brown College, and served on the Board of Governors for the Ontario Civilian Police Commission (OCPC), where he would hear appeals, conduct  investigations, disputes, and impose fines or suspensions based on police activity.

Upon retirement, he rejoined the family in Florida and worked part-time in Real Estate and full-time raising his grandsons, Kaeden, Kyle and Evan.  This involved school pickups, cooking dinner, helping with homework and many other activities he loved to do with his grandkids.  He joined Fountainside Gospel Chapel, and later called Bible Baptist Church his home for many years until his passing. Karl’s love for God, his family, his Church family, and many others numerous lives, cannot be summed up in a few paragraphs. His house was the center of family gatherings, he was a sharp dresser, a great cook, enjoyed spending time in the garden, was a stickler about time, and was always focused on getting the job done.  He is survived by Norrice Fuller (wife), Andrew Fuller (son), Craig Fuller (son), Kaeden Fuller (grandson), Kyle Fuller (grandson), Evan Fuller (grandson), Keith Fuller (brother), Hazel Myrie (sister), Derrick Fuller (brother), and Rose Troy (sister) and numerous cousins.
