Robert Lawrence Moneypenny, of Hollywood, Florida passed into the loving arms of Jesus on June 27, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Bob was born in Akron, Ohio on December 26, 1947, to Hugh Moneypenny and Dolores Boylen. After graduating from Hower Vocational
High School, he was drafted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country as a tank commander in the Vietnam War from Nov 1967 – Nov 1969.
After returning from Vietnam, Bob moved to Miami where he met and married Carolyn Dyer in March 1970. Bob and Carol were married for 54 years and have two daughters, Tammy and Linda.
In 1970 he began a 30-year career with BellSouth as an IT Technician. After retiring from BellSouth, he continued his career for an additional 10 years with Nortel Networks. Moneypenny, as he was known by his co-workers, was the one to call for his ability to troubleshoot the most difficult problems at all hours of the day and night. Bob’s love of technology and computer tinkering extended beyond the office and was his greatest hobby. He also loved reading, watching westerns, studying the Bible, and enjoying Carolyn’s homecooked meals.
Bob was predeceased by his father, Hugh; mother, Dolores and brother John.
He is survived by wife, Carolyn; brother, Richard (Barbara); daughters: Tammy Ocasek (Chris) and Linda Campbell (Chris); grandchildren: Amanda Ocasek, Meghan Ocasek, Kristina Friel (Kyle), Sarah Ocasek, Clayton Campbell, Cody Campbell; great-children: Coleman and Oliver; nephews: Adam Moneypenny and Luke Moneypenny and nieces: Cheri Moneypenny, Jeanette Johnson and Bethany Wlotzko.
Visitation to be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM until Funeral Service at 3:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

Graveside Service to be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449 with Military Honors being rendered by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
