March 22, 1955~June 22, 2024

Mark Gregory (Greg) Davis, 69, of Cooper City passed away on June 22rd, 2024 after a battle
with cancer.

He was born March 22nd, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas to Ralph Wesley Davis and Rosemary
Grove Davis.

Greg spent most of his childhood in Warren, Michigan before moving to Florida to attend the
University of Miami, where he met his wife Miriam Orta Davis in 1976. They were married on
August 18th, 1979 and had one son, Mark Gregory Davis, in 1981.

The Davises moved from Palm Springs North to Cooper City in 1991. Greg grew his business,
Schell Sales, into a successful career. He was an avid fisherman, a longtime member of the
Tropical Anglers Club in MIami, and he loved to build his own fishing rods. Like a true
fisherman, Greg told a great story. He was the cook and grillmaster of his family. Greg was a
Miami sports fan to the core: from the Phins to The U, he remained loyal and loud for his teams.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Miriam; son Mark and his wife
Courtney; grandson Renner Gregory Davis; sister Denyse Solomon and her husband
Dave, sister Dawn Kennedy; brothers Kevin Davis, Brian Davis, and Keith Davis;
sister-in-law Illeana Tomaselli; numerous nieces, nephews, friends; and Khaleesi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Rosemary Davis; his in-laws,
Israel “Tito” and Maria Orta; and Tanya and Jasmine.

Friends are welcome to attend Greg’s Celebration of Life on Saturday August 17th at
3:00 PM at Greg & Miriam’s home, located at 11430 West Point Drive, Cooper City,
Florida 33026. The family requests “Florida casual” attire to honor Greg’s memory. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements entrusted to Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care.

So saddened to learn of Greg’s passing. Always wanted to meet up with him again. In Warren, Greg is remembered as one of Cousino High School’s football and track stars in class of 73. A super nice guy that was a friend to all. My condolences to family. Rest in Peace Greg. Our lives were enriched by having you there.

So sorry to everyone that loved Greg. He asked me to dance at our 8th grade dance at Melby. Not a date, just a dance. I will always remember that dance and you Greg. You keep on dancing through time❤️
