Sandra “Sandy” Aileen Trujillo Perez

On October 2, 2024, Sandy Trujillo lost her 21-month battle with cancer. She fought vigorously until the end and was surrounded by her family when she was accepted into the Lord’s arms.

Sandy was born in Miami, Florida on April 6, 1981, and raised by her very proud parents Fredis and Mayra Trujillo. She grew up in the South Florida area and graduated from Saint Brendan High School in 1999.

As a child growing up, she was the first altar girl for the Miami Archbishop. Sandy was a devout Catholic and parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church and the last 14 years at St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

Following her graduation from Saint Brendan High School, Sandy graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism in 2003. She then enrolled in FIU’s Law School and graduated in 2008 with a Juris Doctorate.

In 2002, Sandy married Osvaldo Perez and had two children, Zachary in 2012 and Alyssandra in 2018.

Upon graduating from law school, Sandy primarily worked as a corporate attorney at numerous media companies.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Osvaldo Perez, her 12-year-old son Zachary and 5-year-old daughter Alyssandra. She is also survived by her parents Fredis and Mayra Trujillo and her brother Steven.

Sandy’s request was to have a Catholic Mass, followed by burial at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made at the following GoFundMe link for an educational fund on behalf of the children, Zach and Ally.
