It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hedley Joseph Blake, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Born in Jamaica to John Obediah Blake and Antella Blake, he was the youngest of 10 children. He was a devoted family man who cherished the bonds of love and kinship throughout his life.
In his early 40s, Hedley migrated to the United States, where he established himself as a skilled mechanic. Known for his meticulous craftsmanship, dedication, and strong work ethic, he built a legacy of excellence in his profession. His generosity, warm heart, and willingness to help others made him beloved by all who knew him.
Hedley is survived by six children, Kharetta Blake, Khala T. Blake, Kay-Ann Blake-Myles, Allison Blake, Cleve Blake and Lionel Blake as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory. His legacy of love, wisdom, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
His laughter, wisdom, and loving spirit will be deeply missed, but the impact he made on all of our lives will never be forgotten.
