Jeany Moise

Jeany Moise

July 18, 1954~December 04, 2024

Jeany Boutros Moise was born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti on July 18th, 1954, from the union of the late Pierre Boutros and Madeleine Laroche Boutros. She spent her adolescent years in Cap-Haitian and St Paul, Minnesota. She relocated to Boston Mass. for High School and College. She graduated with a BA degree in Sociology.

She got married to her sweetheart, Henry C. Moise in December 1973. Jeany received Christ and got baptized at the age of 9 years old under the guidance of her goldy parents. She worked as a social worker helping young, troubled youth at both private and state agencies in Miami and in Fort-Lauderdale. From her union with her husband, she gave birth to three children: Madelaine (Madith) Moise Vilme, Rubin Claude Moise, and Alex Henry Moise.

Jeany spent her entire life between family and church. At home she was the centerpiece that held everything together, and at church she was the silent giant, the worker, the servant-leader who got things done efficiently. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her unshakable faith, her dedication to her family and to the Lord’s work, her soul winning spirit and her exemplary simplicity. She was a devoted mother, an exceptional pastor’s wife and enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Jeany leaves to cherish her memories her husband of almost 51 years: Revd. Henry C. Moise; her children: Dr. Madelaine Moise Vilmé, Mr. Rubin Moise and Mr. Alex Moise; her grand-children: Chloe Vilme, Kyle Vilme, Connor Vilme, Jake Moise, Abigail Moise, Liam Moise, Laila Moise; her son-in law: Mr. Ralph Vilmé; her daughters-in-law: Mrs. Beatrice Moise and Ms. Chrystal Silva; her brothers: Mr. Moise Boutros, Mr. Charles (Billy) Boutros, Mr. Jamil Boutros; her sisters: Mrs. Olga Boutros Morency, Ms. Madeline Boutros; her brothers-in law: Mr. Michel Morency, Revd. Lesly Moise, Mr. Lionel Moise, Mr. Alain Moise, Mr. Jude Moise, Mr. Paul Moise, Mr. Jude Moise, Mr. Maurice Jean-Pierre; her sisters -in- law: Mrs. Maryse Boutros, Mrs. Margarette Boutros, Mrs. Brandy Boutros; her cousins, her friends and associates; and the entire Hope Missionary Baptist Church family.

Sister Jeany’s soul is now resting in Abraham’s bosom awaiting the great day of the Lord and the glad reunion with the saints in Jesus-Christ.

SR Ja was my first friend in Pembroke. She was a good listener, and a good friend.

My sweet tatie. She always put everyone above herself and her love always shined through. I remember always going to her house for Sunday dinner or just to hang out; she would be so gentle and kind to me. Always made me laugh. Reminded me of how much God loves me, how much she loves me. She was a pillar for the church but she was a pillar for my life. Words can’t describe what an amazing God fearing woman she was. She was so loved by everyone. I love you and I will miss you tatie.
