Juan Daniel Cepeda

November 29, 1993~April 25, 2025

Juan Daniel Cepeda, lovingly known as “Danny” to his family and “Skooby” to many of his friends, passed away on April 25, 2025, in Vero Beach, Florida, at the age of 31. Born in Hialeah, Florida on November 29, 1993, Danny was a son, brother, uncle, and friend who brought joy, laughter, and a big heart to everyone who knew him.

Danny had a big, unforgettable personality. He was the kind of person who could light up a room with his presence. He had a sharp sense of humor, a loud and infectious laugh, and a way of making people feel seen and included. Loyal to the core, Danny built strong friendships that lasted through the years. His friends often described him as someone who was always there when it counted, someone who left a lasting impression with his warmth, his boldness, and his deep love for those closest to him.

He had a passion for video games, cheering on his favorite Miami sports teams, and spending time at the batting cages. Though he faced challenges in life, including his battle with addiction, Danny’s journey also brought him into a recovery community where he found support, purpose, and genuine connection. He was deeply loved and remembered by many in that community.

One of the greatest joys of Danny’s life was his beloved dog, Lacey. He proudly considered himself her dad, and their bond was something truly special. Lacey brought him unwavering companionship, love, and a deep sense of purpose. She was his best friend and constant source of comfort.

Danny was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nora Victoria and his paternal grandfather, Jose Cepeda.

He is survived by his  his parents, Elena Rodriguez and Amarildo Cepeda; his stepfather, Mario Diaz; his siblings Jesse Cepeda, Sonya Belanger (Gilles Belanger), and Elysa Cepeda; maternal grandmother, Aminta Velez and paternal grandfather, Baldomero Rodriguez; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Gabriel Belanger, Emmalyn Belanger, and Nico Cepeda. He is also survived by his dear aunt Nora “Wisi” Rodriguez and cousins Christian Castello and Angel Rodriguez, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.

Though his time with us was far too short, we take comfort in knowing that Danny had given his life to the Lord. We find peace in the belief that he is now resting in God’s eternal grace—free from pain and suffering, embraced in love.
